I have been servicing pianos in the Charlotte metropolitan area since 1988.  I provide most services (listed on services
page), but not all.  I know and refer excellent piano movers as well as refinishers.
My Training

I attended Central Piedmont Community College 1987-1988 studying piano tuning and
repair under Clayton Harmon
and Evelyn Smith.

Since 1988, I have usually attended the Piano Technicians Guild Convention and one or
two regional conferences a year to complete my education and keep up with the latest
innovations in piano technology.

Studied privately with Bill Garlick (former Steinway chief technician)

Attended  beta-testing of David Stanwood's seminar on action touch-weight diagnosis

July 2004 attended a week long training seminar taught by Steinway and hosted by
Oberlin Conservatory of Music

Field expert for Dampp Chaser climate control systems

Twice attended PianoDisc two day training (not currently certified)

In 1989, I was asked by Charlotte legend Eugenia Carter to work with her as an
associate and I jumped at the chance.  I worked with Genia over fourteen years and
learned so much from her.  She passed away February 4th of 2004.  She was greatly
loved by so many and left a large void in a lot of lives.

My wife, Brigitte,  started helping me with office work during Genia's convalescence
and advanced to assistant.  She has since worked her way up to CEO and I am now
labor.
